On 11 October 2019, the Malagasy State underwrote a drought insurance policy with the insurance pool Afica Risk Capacity (ARC). This action is part of the partnership, signed in 2016, between the African Development Bank (AfDB) and ARC [4].
The partnership aims to better prepare for natural and meteorological disasters.
