The World Bank organized, in Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire), the Understanding Risk Forum from 20 to 22 November 2019. The theme of the event was "Human Capital and Innovation for a Resilient Society".
This meeting allowed different experts to present the various solutions for the prevention of risks related to natural disasters [4]. Floods, the frequency and intensity of which have continued to increase over the years, was particularly targeted.
In Africa, floods claim the lives of hundreds of people each year and cause considerable economic damage nationwide.
