Axa has reached a settlement with the Parisian restaurant owner Stéphane Manigold. This agreement puts an end to the legal proceedings initiated by the Eclore Group.
As a reminder, the insurer had made an initial proposal to the restaurant owner with a compensation amounting to 450 000 EUR (505 600 USD) for the four culinary establishments.
S. Manigold had refused this first deal which limited the compensation to 24% of his turnover. He had threatened to file a complaint for the damage suffered by all his restaurants, as the Commercial Court of Paris had awarded him a better compensation for the smallest of his restaurants.
