Floods in China cost more than 1.7 billion USD

China floodsThe cost of floods in Henan province in mid-July 2021 has exceeded 11.2 billion CNY (1.7 billion USD). The number of claims has reached 545 800.

Insurance companies have settled 109 300 files for a total amount of 1.6 billion CNY (246.73 million USD).

The total economic losses amounted to 114.3 billion CNY (17.62 billion USD).

The torrential rains that hit the province have caused more than 300 fatalities. Nearly 50 people are still reported missing.
