Oman Re [4] has recorded a turnover increase of 11% in the first half of 2021. Gross written premiums have gone from 16.4 million OMR (42.48 million USD) as at 30 June 2020 to 18.2 million OMR (47.14 million USD) a year later
At the end of June 2021, the pre-tax profit stood at 788 500 OMR (2.04 million USD) compared to 664 300 OMR (1.72 million USD) during the same period of 2020, representing a 19% growth over one year. This performance is mainly driven by the 65% increase in the underwriting result to 204 500 OMR (529 688 USD) as at 30 June 2021. The combined ratio amounts to 97.6%.
The investment income has improved by 10% to 1 million OMR (2.5 million USD) in the first six months of 2021.
The company's shareholders' equity totals 26.4 million OMR (68.38 million USD).
