On Saturday, 27 November 2021, Adelaide, France's eighth biggest generalist broker and owner of the brokerage firms Verlingue, Generation and Coverlife, was subjected to a cyberattack [4]. The extent of the damage has not yet been determined.
Following the crippling of its computer system, the group has requested its 2 200 employees to remain at home. The business continuity plan has been triggered to prevent data theft.
In 2021, three major cyber attacks targeted French brokers or insurers: the group April in November, AssurOne in August and the Mutuelle Nationale des Hospitaliers (MNH) in February.
