AXA: excellent performance in 2021

AXAAXA posted solid results as of 31 December 2021. The company's turnover stood at 99.931 billion EUR (113.2 billion USD), which represents an improvement of 3.3% compared to 96.723 billion EUR (118.8 billion USD) posted during the same period of 2020. Such growth is driven by the P&C, health, life, savings, pension and asset management activities.

The net result reached 7.294 billion EUR (8.25 billion USD) thus increasing by 130.5%. This performance was driven by three main factors:

  • 58.5% increase in operating result reaching 6.762 billion EUR (7.65 billion USD)
  • favorable financial market impact
  • increase in net capital gains

During the period under review, the Group's solvency ratio stood at 217%, which represents an increase of 17 points compared to 31 December 2020.

A dividend of 1.54 EUR (1.74 USD) per share will be recommended to the Shareholders' Annual General Meeting on 28 April 2022.
