Jordanian insurers listed on the stock exchange: net result decrease in 2021

calculer The 19 Jordanian insurance companies [4] listed on the stock exchange recorded a 39% drop in net profit in 2021. The latter went from 25.6 million JOD (36.1 million USD) in 2020 to 15.6 million JOD (22 million USD) one year later.

Such decrease is mainly due to the increase of the Covid-19 and motor claims.

The turnover 2021 of all insurers amounted to 651 million JOD (918.196 million USD) against 594.2 million JOD (838.083 million USD) in 2020, that is a 9.6% growth over one year.
