Actuarial consultancy Badri Management Consultancy predicts that the Saudi insurance market [4] will soon become more concentrated. The gradual increase in the minimum capital required to conduct insurance business will push smaller companies to merge.
In 2020, Saudi Arabia recorded three M&A deals. In early 2022, three more mergers were finalized.
According to Badri's report, at the end of the year 2021, twelve out of 28 listed Saudi insurers have had a share capital of less than 300 million SAR (79.88 million USD).
