The net profit stood at 6.675 billion EUR (7.1 billion USD) against the 7.294 billion EUR (8.3 billion USD) recorded at the end of 2021, down by 8%. This decline is mainly due to the negative impact of the financial markets on the company's assets and derivatives.
The operating result went up by 7% to reach 7.264 billion EUR (7.8 billion USD). The return on equity (ROE) amounted to 14.5%.
The group's solvency ratio deteriorated by one point to 215% at the end of 2022.
The Board of Directors has proposed the distribution of a dividend of 1.7 EUR (1.8 USD) per share and has also approved the implementation of a share buyback program for an amount of 1.1 billion EUR (1.2 billion USD).
