The insurance sector is expected in 2007 to report a 24% growth rate with an overall premium volume of 700 billion CYN (95 billion USD) and 36 billion CYN (4.9 billion USD) profits. 107 companies are operating on the market, 62 of which with Chinese capital and 45 foreign firms.
