Zurich Insurance has withdrawn from the Net-Zero Insurance Alliance (NZIA), thus becoming the second founding member to leave the climate coalition after Munich Re.
After having established a standardized methodology for measuring and disclosing greenhouse gas emissions associated with underwriting portfolios, Zurich Insurance intends to dedicate its resources to assisting customers in the transition.
A week earlier, Munich Re announced its withdrawal from the NZIA [4] due to the risk of violating competition law.
