The figures published by the Moroccan Federation of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies (FMSAR) indicate that the overall turnover achieved by local insurers reached 54.5 billion MAD (5.1 billion USD) in 2022, increasing by 8.6% over one year.
Wafa Assurance has maintained its leading position with written premiums amounting to 10.4 billion MAD (980.5 million USD), thus accounting for 19.1% of the market share.
Royale Marocaine d'Assurance (RMA) came in second place with a turnover of 8.076 billion MAD (761.4 million USD). The company accounted for 14.8% of the total premiums written in Morocco in 2022.
Mutuelle Taamine Chaabi is placed third and last on the podium with a premium income of 7.3 billion MAD (688.2 million USD).
