Tokio Marine Holdings is planning to sell its life insurance activities, valued at 1 billion USD. Sources close to the matter suggest that the Japanese insurer has engaged an advisor to assess investors' interest in its life subsidiaries in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.
A formal sale process may begin in the upcoming months. So far, no official decision has been taken.
