SCOR: François de Varenne appointed CFO and DCEO

François de Varenne has been promoted Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO) of SCOR. He simultaneously maintains his role as member of the Executive Committee in charge of investments, technologies, transformation and corporate finance.

F. de Varenne will replace former CFO Ian Kelly, who is leaving the French group to pursue new opportunities.

A French national, F. de Varenne holds an engineering degree from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, a PhD in finance from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales and a diploma in actuarial science from the Institut de Science Financière et d'Assurances. He is also a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique.

He joined SCOR in 2005, where he has held a number of senior positions over the past 18 years.

From 26 January to 30 April 2023, F. de Varenne was SCOR's acting Chief Executive Officer.
