Dissolution of the insurance commission

Following the protests related to the government’s announcement to raise oil price by 33%, the authorities decided to revert back. Faced with a worrisome budgetary situation, the government had to settle with other funding solutions. Substantial budget cuts were decided resulting in the dissolution of the insurance commission which was founded in 2009. The commission’s tasks have been shifted to the department of corporate supervision and to the ministry of industry and commerce. Six other public agencies are also doomed to extinction. Benefits and allowances of theses agencies’ employees will be revised downwards.
