United Arab Emirates: the Flydubai Boeing is insured by Chubb

The American insurer Chubb will pay for the damage of the FlyDubai Boeing 737 crash that occurred on March 19, 2016. The flight linked Dubai to the city of Rostov-on-Don in southern Russia and had 62 passengers on board, including 10 crew members. None of them survived.

According to preliminary findings, bad weather conditions would be the cause of the accident. The Emirati airline has committed to pay a 20 000 USD compensation to each passenger's family that is a total of 1.24 million USD.
To this amount is added the value of the aircraft which is insured for 48.99 million USD. Note that FlyDubai insures its air fleet consisting of 50 aircrafts for a premium worth 500 million within the US insurer Chubb.
