Deadly floods ravage Slovenia
Torrential rains and violent thunderstorms swept across Slovenia on 3 August 2023, causing landslides and catastrophic flooding.
The disaster claimed three lives, including two Dutch nationals and a Slovenian, and resulted in extensive material damage.
Based on initial estimates, the losses may exceed 500 million EUR (550.215 million USD).
This is the worst natural catastrophe to strike the country in the last three decades.
