A 9.1% growth of the insurance turnover in 2012

According to the last report of the Tunisian federation of insurance companies (FTUSA), the turnover of the Tunisian insurance market amounts to TND 1.285 million (USD 829 million) in 2012, against TND 1.177 million (USD 787 million) in 2011, that is an increase of 9.13%.

The technical result has improved remaining s in surplus and growing from TND 47.402 million (USD 31.710 million) in 2011 to TND 55.106 million (USD 35 million) in 2012. For the year 2012 as a whole, the market has reported a net result of TND 18.079 million (USD 11.67 million), a decrease of 59.7%, compared to TND 44.899 million (USD 30.040 million) recorded in 2011.
