AIG reinforces its management team

AIGMark Lyons has been promoted Global Chief Actuary & Head of Portfolio Management. Shane Fitzsimons succeeds Lyons as group CFO.

M. Lyons and S. Fitzsimons will report to Peter Zaffino, AIG's chairman and CEO. Both appointments are effective as of 1 January 2021.

To further strengthen its executive team, the U.S. insurer also made three other appointments:

  • Elias Habayeb: Chief Financial Officer of the Life and Retirement business.
  • Elaine Rocha: Chief Investment Officer.
  • Ted Devine: Global Head of AIG 200, a series of initiatives designed to improve the group's operations and efficiency.
