Allianz, diversification of sponsoring operations
The Allianz group will be the official sponsor of the challenge team BMW ORACLE as it takes part in the professional sailing contest, the America's Cup, one of the most ancient and prestigious international sailing races. It is the city of Valencia (Spain) that has been chosen to host the 32nd edition of the 2007 race. The sponsoring move by the Munich insurer aims, in particular, at enhancing its branch in charge of managing Allianz Global Investors' assets. Through this variety of sponsoring programs, the group is enlarging the target population of its marketing campaign.
