An exceptionally cold wave paralyzes the country

The historic cold wave, which hitting the United States since the beginning of the year, continues to paralyze several states of the country.

Snowfalls and freezing rain caused as at January 8, 2014 the death of 15 people, the disturbance of the public transport, the cancellation of 18,000 flights and the closing of the airports and schools.
