April sells its health and provident insurance activities

BusinessApril, a French company that designs, manages and distributes insurance solutions and assistance, is selling its health and provident insurance entity Axéria. The transaction is estimated between 250 million EUR (302.991 million USD) and 300 million EUR (363.59 million USD).

Some insurance giants namely Allianz, Swiss Re, Prévoir, AXA and Malakoff find the offer very interesting.

The operation is part of the group's strategy to put the focus on insurance brokerage activities.

In December 2019, April sold its Property and Casualty insurance company Axeria IARD to the Bermudan company Watford. The broker also sold its subsidiary April International Voyages.
