Cameroon Joins African Trade Insurance Agency

ACA ATIThe African Trade Insurance Agency (ATI) now counts Cameroon as a new member. It is the 19th African member state of the ATI with a contribution of 11.37 million EUR (13.15 million USD), supported by the European Investment Bank (EIB).

This operation allows the Republic of Cameroon to promote the development of exports, attract more foreign investment and improve regional and international trade.

So far, the EIB has provided a total loan of 49.11 million EUR (56.82 million USD) for the memberships of Benin, Cameroon, Niger and Togo. The bank is also supporting Chad, Burkina Faso and Senegal, which are expected to finalize their membership in the ATI shortly.
