CNMA gets license for life insurance

The Caisse Nationale de Mutualité Agricole (CNMA) , has obtained license for the establishment of a subsidiary specializing in life insurance. Named “le Mutualiste”, the new insurer is dotted with a capital of 600 million DZD (7.8 million USD) and will be marketing pension and health policies. Life insurance accounts for a turnover below 10 billion DZD (131.9 million USD), that is, 10% of the market in 2010.
