Coronavirus: new support measures in Saudi Arabia

CoronavirusThe Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI): the Saudi committee for health insurance, is introducing new measures to help health insurers and health service providers.

Such initiatives enter within the framework of support to cope with coronavirus.

The two main decisions involve:

  • Maintaining the coverage of the health insurance policies in case the insurer fails to meet the payment of insurance premiums starting from 25 May 2020
  • Extending the accreditation of health service providers from 1 April 2020 to 30 June 2020.
