Discovery and Old Mutual amongst the world’s top 100 brands

Brand FincanceThe British company "Brand Finance" has published its "Insurance 100" report, which classifies the most valuable and strongest insurance companies in the world.

This year’s top 100 includes two South African insurers:

  • Discovery is the 94th most valuable and the second strongest insurance brand.
  • Old Mutual is ranked in the 97th position amongst the most valuable brands. The company losses eight positions compared to 2018.

The top 3 brands in Brand Finance’s ranking are the Chinese Ping An, with a valuation of 50.5 billion USD, the German Allianz with 21.3 billion USD and the Chinese China Life with 21.83 billion USD.
