Egyptian government willing to improve agricultural insurance penetration
The Egyptian government is currently studying the expansion of agricultural insurance in coordination with the insurance federation, the Ministry of Agriculture, the business sector and the Egyptian financial regulatory authority.
The Insurance Federation of Egypt wants to make agricultural insurance mandatory and to include various activities such as stockbreeding and fishing.
It should be noted that the premium can reach 5% of the estimated value of the crop or livestock to be covered.
