Eyessuswork Zafu retires as head of United Insurance

Eyessuswork Zafu announced on October 27, 2011 that he would retire as chairman of the group United Insurance Company (UNIC). E. Zafu has been in this position since 1996.

E. Zafu has spent more than 50 years in the insurance business. He chaired Imperial Insurance Company then Ethiopian Insurance Corporation; and for many years he had been general manager of Africa Re. He will be succeeded by Meseret Bezabeh as chairman. E. Zafu will not be totally separated from UNIC as he becomes consultant and member of the board of directors.
