FFA publishes its emerging risks barometer

The French federation of insurance (FFA) has published a map of risks likely to impact the local insurance market.

Called "Emerging risks barometer", this study was conducted with the executives of 30 companies in the French insurance market. Risks are classified according to their probability of occurrence and their potential impact in the short and medium term. They are grouped into six categories, namely: economic, environmental, geopolitical, social, technological and regulatory.

Cybercrime is one of the most worrying risks. Climate change, new prudential standards (such as Solvency II and IFRS 17) and international political tension are also among the most threatening risks.
