Fighting insurance premium evasion

The Insurance Regulatory and Control Authority (ARCA) of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) held a training session on 21 March 2022 for agents and executives of the National Financial Intelligence Unit (CENAREF).

CENAREF will support ARCA in reinforcing insurance supervision. The main objective of the Congolese authority is to tackle insurance premium evasion abroad.

In this regard, the participants received two training sessions including:

• Basic notions of insurance and law n° 15/005 of 17 March 2015 on the Insurance Code
• Insurance fraud and money laundering
