United Kingdom: floods estimated at 1.75 billion USD for insurers

According to the data provider PERILS, damage caused by the floods that hit the United Kingdom between December 2015 and January 2016 could cost insurers 1.24 billion GBP (1.75 billion USD).

The initially estimated damage is periodically revised upwards.
A forthcoming report on the loss borne by insurers will be released on June 24, 2016.
