Growth IT risk insurance by 10% annually in the UAE
IT risk insurance has recently emerged in the United Arab Emirates. Its growth is nonetheless at 10% per year. Due to the broadening of electronic services, companies operating in all economic sectors have grown better knowledgeable about the risks encountered today. The big companies operating in energy, banking, tourism and trade are the most cautious, especially that the country is one of the most targeted by hackers.
In 2015, the United Arab Emirates ranked first on the standings of the Gulf States region that are hardest hit by the phishing type of attacks, and number four in Africa and Middle East in terms of ransom kind of threats. The United Arab Emirates is the eighth most attacked Gulf State by cyber criminals. It is particularly attacked by malicious emails.
