Hollard Insurance consolidates its position in Botswana
Hollard Insurance has taken control of Regent Botswana Group, which includes two companies, Regent Life Botswana and Regent Insurance Botswana. The South African group that locally owns a non-life company: Hollard Insurance Botswana and a life company: Hollard Life Insurance Botswana is planning to merge its new acquisitions with those it already owns in Botswana.
This merger will result in the creation of the first non-life insurer and the third life insurer. The two new entities will be controlled by Hollard Group Botswana.
The agreement, approved by the supervisory authorities of the two countries, will be finalized in July 2017.
