Insurance tariffs are roughly on the rise since the second semester of 2011

Marsh has estimated that insurance tariffs continue their rise in the third quarter of 2012. According to the broker, such tariffs are increasing slightly, with a 0.9% increase reported for the last 12 months since the third quarter of 2011. Rates growth will vary according to each class of business. Fire rates posted an increase because of the absence of a natural event. During the third quarter of 2012, the renewal of claim-free policies was identically carried out. This trend is likely to be confirmed in the coming months. Policies pertaining to the liability insurance of financial institutions have undergone a more remarkable stiffening of the terms and conditions, especially professional liability where the increase amounted to 1.9%.
