Jean-Jacques Henchoz, general manager of Hannover Re

Jean-Jacques Henchoz, head of EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) at Swiss Re, will join German reinsurer Hannover Re as managing director. He will succeed Ulrich Wallin, who has been in office since 2009.

J-J Henchoz will also become a member of the board of directors of Talanx, the parent company of Hannover Re. This appointment will take effect on May 8, 2019.

Jean-Jacques Henchoz spent the last 20 years at Swiss Re where he held several senior positions, including CEO of Swiss Re Canada.

The German reinsurer is delighted to have appointed "a highly-experienced reinsurance manager who will continue to drive the successful development of the reinsurance division for Talanx".
