Motor insurance in the USA : partial premium cashback

car insuranceDue to lockdown, a remarkable decrease in motor claims has been recorded all around the world.

Just like the French mutualist group MAIF, both American reinsurers, Allstate and American Family Insurance, decided to reimburse their policyholders.

Allstate intends to pay back its policyholders 15% of their premiums of April and May 2020. The total sum to be paid back to all the members amounts to 600 million USD.

American Family Insurance, is believed to spend nearly 200 million USD, that is a lump sum of 50 USD per insured vehicle.
