Olufemi Oyetunji head of Continental Re

Continental Re's board of directors has designated Olufemi Oyetunji as managing director in replacement of Adeyemo Adejumo who has retired. A. Adejumo has spent 25 years working for the company, 15 years of which in the position of managing director and CEO.

A graduate in statistics and operational research from the Institute of Technology (University of Manchester, UK), Olufemi Oyetunji holds also a Master of Science degree in statistics from Imperial College-London and a PhD in statistics. It was at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria that he began his professional career before joining UK's Bacon and Woodrow actuarial firm in 1988.

Returning to Nigeria in 1992, Olufemi Oyetunji was appointed assistant general manager then general manager of AIICO Insurance. In 1999 he became managing director/CEO of Crusader Insurance and in 2005 managing director of Alexander Forbes Consulting and Actuaries Nigeria Limited.
