Phoenix Assurance becomes MUA insurance
Phoenix Assurance Company has changed brand. It takes, henceforth, the name of its first acquirer, MUA Insurance.
As a reminder, Phoenix Holdings, a company based in Kenya, was acquired by Mauritius Union Assurance (MUA) in 2014. The purchaser has since then controlled the company's subsidiaries in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda.
This change of name is part of the strategic plan of the Mauritian group "Ambition 2020" whose objective is improve its growth by 57% by the end of the decade.
In Uganda, this rebranding goes hand in hand with a digitalization of services and the introduction of new insurance products.
