Road deaths, record low figures

The number of fatalities on French roads has dropped to record low levels of 11% in 2013. The number of people who lost their lives reached 3250, compared to 3645 in 2012, the lowest level ever recorded in France. The number of accident-related injuries decreased by 6.6% while hospitalized cases went down by 4.7%. The authorities aim to bring the number of road deaths down to 2000 by 2020.
