Saham Assurance Maroc publishes its 2017 results

At the end of December 2017, Saham Assurance Maroc reported a net result of 441 million MAD (47.3 million USD), up by 56% compared to 282 million MAD (28 million USD) in 2016.

The turnover recorded a more moderate growth of 10.3%. It rose from 4.3 billion MAD (427.1 million USD) in 2016 to 4.8 billion MAD (514.5 million USD) twelve months later.

The life class of business drove the growth thanks to a 32% jump in underwritings to 1.02 billion MAD (109.3 million USD). As for the non-life class of business, it achieved an increase of 5.7% to settle at 3.82 billion MAD (409.5 million USD).

The company's shareholder's equity increased by 3% going from 3.64 billion MAD (345.6 million USD) to 3.75 billion MAD (402 million USD).
