SCOR acquires a majority stake in AgroBrasil

SCORSCOR henceforth holds a majority stake in AgroBrasil, a leading Brazilian group specialising in agricultural insurance . This acquisition marks an important step in the strategy of the French reinsurer's Specialty Insurance*.

The team of AgroBrasil team will remain unchanged, Laura Neves, Chief Executive Officer , will also join the board of ESSOR Seguros, a Brazilian insurance company wholly owned by SCOR since 2018.

*Specialty Insurance consists of three units:

  • SCOR Business Solutions
  • The Channel Syndicate (Lloyd's syndicate fully owned by SCOR)
  • Managing General Agents (MGAs)
