Solvency problems of local insurers

The National Insurance Commission is concerned with insurance companies' solvency problems. Seizing the opportunity of the introduction of a new life product from Enterprise Insurance Company (EIC), ‘'Home and Personal Assets Policy protection", Mr. Gideon Amenyedor has pointed out that many companies have difficulties to meet their obligations and to pay their claims in time. He has also mentioned that in order to promote life insurance in the country, the commission was ready to propose new amendments to existing laws.
