Sompo International acquires Diversified Crop Insurance Services

Sompo International HoldingSompo International Holding, a Bermudan non-life insurance and reinsurance company, has acquired Diversified Crop Insurance Services, an agricultural insurance company specializing in crop risk. The terms of the transaction are not disclosed.

Diversified Crop Insurance Services will integrate the global AgriSompo platform, which also includes ARMtech which is the sixth largest crop risk underwriter.

This acquisition is a significant step in the Bermudan group's strategy to create a global leader in crop insurance.

Founded in 1997 in Kansas, Diversified Crop Insurance Services, a subsidiary of CGB Enterprises, is part of the federal crop insurance program in 48 U.S. states.
