Tata AIG General Insurance launches new health insurance product

Tata AIG General Insurance has brought a new health product to the Indian market that covers unexpected and serious medical problems.

Tata AIG Criti-Medicare, offers three basic and one optional benefit: critical illness, 360-degree cancer benefit, cash hospitalization and wellness services (optional).

The solution includes two levels of coverage, Smart Century Premier Plan (100 critical illnesses) and Smart Half Century Plan (50 critical illnesses). The insured can benefit from a 70% premium waiver in case of a critical illness diagnosis.

The 360-degree cancer plan covers current and future treatment, hotel accommodations, transportation costs, palliative care and counseling.

Founded in January 2001, Tata AIG General Insurance is a joint venture between insurer American International Group (AIG) and Indian industrial group Tata.
