The authorities to take over insurers in difficulties

On the occasion of the insurance legislation review, the finance minister expressed his readiness to introduce amendments that allow the authorities to take control of insurers in difficulty.

This initiative is designed to protect the interests of policyholders. The current revisions focus on the abandonment of the British mortality tables from 1949 to 1952 and the adoption of tables that are more consistent with the realities in Kenya.
