The British and South African Covid-19 variants are gaining ground

test Covid-19The B.1.1.7 or British variant of Covid-19 continues to spread. On 20 January 2021, the WHO declared that the mutant virus has been found in 60 countries, ten more lands than on 12 January.

The South African variant or V2 is also gaining ground, but at a slower rate. On 20 January, V2 has been detected in 23 countries, three more territories in one week.

For the record, both variants are more contagious than the initial Covid-19 virus yet they remain susceptible to vaccines.
