The flying car "BlackFly" of Opener, Canadian manufacturer based in California, will be available on the market as early as 2019. According to its manufacturer, its price will not exceed that of a Porch Cayenne.

With its carbon structure, the tare weight of this 100% electric car does not exceed 140 kg and its top speed is 130 km/h. The arrival of the latest generation of batteries increases the autonomy of the BlackFly which is already of 42 kilometres. Unfortunately, the cockpit has been designed for one person. One cannot enjoy the experience with a partner.

In the United States, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) does not impose any flight training to sit behind the joystick that serves as a steering wheel for this flying machine. However, the Opener manufacturer plans to impose a flight license and little familiarity with the vehicle before taking off.
