Tunisian insurers listed on the stock exchange: Q1 2021 turnover

The Tunis Stock Exchange (BVMT) says the five local insurers listed on the stock exchange have recorded a slight turnover decrease of 0.1% during the first quarter of 2021.

As at 31 March 2020, premiums went from 353.957 million TND (123.302 million USD) to 353.772 million TND (126.016 million USD) one year later.

STAR still holds a leading position with 120.587 million TND (42.954 million USD) of written premiums by late Q1 2021. The company is followed by Assurances Maghrebia and ASTREE Assurances whose turnovers were respectively set at 73.562 million TND (26.203 million USD) and 68.266 million TND (24.316 million USD).

Tunis Re and BH Assurance recorded 49.97 million TND (17.8 million USD) and 41.387 million TND (14.742 million USD) of premiums.
