USD 3 billion needed for reconstruction after typhoon Haiyan

The cost of rebuilding the country after the devastation of super-typhoon Haiyan is likely to reach USD 2.95 billion, according to the Presidency. This amount is much higher than the maximum compensation of insurers. The latter should not exceed USD 700 million.
